NameSplit provides a tool for analyzing personal names to understand their structure and likely components. We value your privacy and aim to be as transparent as possible about how your data is handled.
When you enter a name into NameSplit, it is processed in real-time to provide you with an analysis. This data is used solely to generate the results you see on your screen. We do not store the names you submit in any permanent database or use them to build profiles of our users.
Submitted names are processed in memory and are not intentionally retained after the analysis is complete and delivered to your browser. Our server logs may temporarily record technical details such as your IP address and request timestamps for security, performance monitoring, and abuse prevention purposes. These logs are routinely cleared.
The analysis performed by NameSplit relies on publicly available naming datasets. These datasets contain statistical information about name frequencies and patterns. No personally identifiable information (PII) from these datasets is used to identify specific individuals.
NameSplit uses minimal local storage to remember your theme preference (dark or light mode). We do not use behavioral analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising cookies that follow you across the web. We do use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our service from automated abuse, which may involve routine technical checks by Cloudflare.
Because we do not store personal data about our users or the names they submit, many traditional data access and deletion requirements do not apply in the context of the free name analysis tool. However, if you purchase API access, your email address and billing details are processed by Stripe, and we store a hashed API key and associated Stripe identifiers (customer ID, subscription ID) in our database.
If you have purchased API access and wish to have your account data removed from our systems, please email [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will delete your API key record and any associated usage data within 30 days. Note that billing records held by Stripe are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy and retention requirements.
Our service is hosted on secure infrastructure. Your browser may also request standard web assets from reliable third-party providers (such as web fonts). These providers may receive your IP address as part of the standard HTTP request process. API billing is handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
